GAOS Artist Spotlight - Peggy Ohlson
When I asked Artist Peggy Olhson, what word comes to mind when you look at your work and why?
She responded with "peace". "That's what I want to give...peace a chance.
There is so much that is not - peace out there. Whatever that is to each person. I'm hoping that my work could relax the viewer just for a moment, and remind them of a beautiful place and feeling.
Peggy also says, "Well, I love painting for the very same reason, I get to feel that way when painting, and I just love it!"
Peggy is one of the many talented artists featured in the 2012 GAOS tour. To view more of her work, go to www.peggyohlson.com

Friday, Saturday and Sunday
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 13, 14 and 15, 2012, artists of the Columbia Gorge will open their studios to the public. This will be the region’s 6th juried Open Studios Tour.

Come out and join the fun.
The array of artwork produced by Gorge artists is incredible. The tour will feature original works by artists living and working in the region. Participating artists will open their work spaces for the public to view how and where they work, and to ask the artist directly any questions about their work, but for two days only. Visitors will have the chance to stop at the studios of their choice any time between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Through Gorge Artists Open Studios, tourists will enhance their knowledge of art and culture in the Columbia Gorge, and view and purchase artwork not available in galleries.
